Ha Long Bay is one of the most photographed places on earth — and it shows. We started Green Ruby because seeing something this beautiful shouldn't have to mean wearing it down.
Our two vessels, launching in 2026, are engineered around a seawater cooling system designed to cut onboard energy use by roughly 40% — a figure we can measure, not just claim. We've begun the path toward Green Globe certification, the independently audited, EU-recognized standard, because we'd rather earn a credential than print one. And we sail where others don't — quieter passages through Lan Hạ Bay and Cát Bà, the same dramatic karst, without the flotilla.

Partnering with Local Communities
From our very first voyage, we're committing to source at least 80% of our provisions from local fishermen and farmers — strengthening the regional economy and shortening the distance from water to plate. We're recruiting and training our crew from the communities around the bay, with a focus on long-term, skilled local employment.Our planned "Bay to Table" experiences will connect guests with the people behind their meals — from floating fishing villages to cooking sessions led by local chefs.
Environmental Education & Cleanups
We're building a guest-participation cleanup program into the rhythm of every season, so that time on the bay also means caring for it. The goal is simple: leave each shoreline cleaner than we found it, and report what we collect openly rather than rounding up to a headline.

We plan to partner with schools around Ha Long Bay to fund environmental education, and we're developing a "Young Mariners" initiative to help students from fishing families train for maritime careers.
