What's the difference between Ha Long Bay and Lan Ha Bay - and which should I choose?

Ha Long Bay is the famous, busier UNESCO bay with iconic karst scenery and many vessels. Lan Ha Bay, just south near Cat Ba Island, offers the same dramatic limestone landscapes but far fewer crowds, quieter anchorages, and more beaches. If you want privacy and calm, choose a Lan Ha route; if you want the classic, well-known views, choose Ha Long.

What's included in the cruise price?

Your fare covers all meals as per the itinerary (breakfast, lunch, dinner, and a farewell brunch), accommodation in a private air-conditioned cabin, all sightseeing entrance fees, kayaking and bamboo boat activities, cooking class and morning Tai Chi, an English/Vietnamese-speaking guide, and the dedicated day boat excursion on Day 2 (3D2N itineraries only).

Not included: beverages, spa treatments, Hanoi–Ha Long transfers, and personal expenses.

How do I get from Hanoi to the port, and how long is the transfer?

The drive from Hanoi to the Tuan Chau area takes roughly 3 hours via expressway. We can arrange door-to-door transfers from your Hanoi hotel.

Is Green Ruby suitable for couples, families, or groups?

Yes — Green Ruby welcomes all. Couples and honeymooners will find the suites, freestanding bathtubs, private balconies, and quiet Lan Ha Bay routes made for romance. Families are well catered for: children under 4 stay free, ages 5–10 receive a discounted rate, and activities like kayaking and cooking classes work for all ages. Groups and corporate teams can book multiple cabins or charter the entire vessel for a fully private experience.
